As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the daily assembly of control units, ensuring they meet our stringent quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to continuous learning. You will work closely with the production lead to diagnose and troubleshoot issues and maintain accurate documentation.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Assemble control units according to detailed specifications and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Assist in testing units to identify and resolve any issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Support the production lead in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, including handling field returns.
  • Help identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Track and manage inventory of parts and materials used in the assembly process.
  • Accurately document inventory usage, minimize waste, and notify appropriate personnel when reordering is necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all new builds, tests, repairs, modifications, and inventory usage.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctly to maintain traceability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Safely and effectively operate hand tools and high-precision measuring equipment (e.g., soldering irons, voltmeters, micrometers).
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines during tool operation.
  • Conduct inspections and basic tests to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Report any non-conformities and contribute suggestions for improvements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School, Technical School in credited electronic technology or apprenticeship program in related field of electrical or electronic support.
  • Previous experience in assembly, testing, or troubleshooting of electronic equipment is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Experience with inventory management is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Basic proficiency in using hand tools and the ability to learn high-precision measuring tools.
  • Willingness to learn how to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Repair of PCBs, Both Thru-Hole and Surface mount.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks, including inventory management and assembly.
  • Eagerness to learn how to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
Position requires a FBI criminal background check.
